At the beginning of September 2005, Werner and I spent a long weekend in the Jura to fish on the Doubs, and then Rino from Basel joined us on the Doubs. We stayed in Soubey at the Hotel du Cerf, day tickets can be obtained directly from the hotel. The hotel is right on the Doubs, the rooms are simple but very clean, the food is excellent! The fishing was probably very tough during the day because of the too nice and warm weather, but in the evening there was a nice insect hatch and the evening jump lasted into the darkness of the night. We were able to outwit several, but unfortunately only small, grayling, we didn't catch the legendary Doubs trout (tiger) but we observed a number of beautiful specimens.
