On July 20th, 2003 and on September 5th, 2004 we fished the Gsponbach in the canton of Glarus, it is a high mountain stream on two plateaus (Mürtschenalp) with crystal clear water (Indian fishing is popular). In the steep section between these two plateaus, the water falls over rocks into small pools. The brown trout at this height are rather small and hardly ever reach the protective size of 25cm, but they have a beautiful pattern. However, the landscape through which this stream flows is absolutely amazing! The fishing must first be earned with a 50-minute climb and is only recommended for fishermen who are good on foot. Success Flies: Parachut light and dark, Rehaarsedge.
